That car again? I've seen it being scammed on ebay twice, and I've seen it on dealer's websites. Apparently no one will buy it, and at this point I'm wondering if the car really exists at all; it's been passed around more often than Paris Hilton.
When you customize a car, you'd better be prepared to keep it for the rest of your life or prepared to lose your ass when you want to sell. Who's going to buy that thing?

yes, "that car" again. That dealership is the correct owner. The ebay scammer borrowed the pictures from an ad they ran in heammings. -CTH

Fortunately not a 300SL. That would be blasphemy.
I may be the only one, but sometimes I think we take these MB classics too seriously. I think someone decided to goof around with the concept of what can you do with an 190SL. The result is something that made me smile. At the right price, maybe 40K, some big money type will buy it, I guess. Not me. I don't like yellow. Isn't anyone curious what Chip Foose would do with a 107? Chip - if you're reading this, PM me. |

Wasn't the 190 a people's car - a compromise between the high end 300SL and something that was affordable and daily driveable? Not intended to be worshipped.
I don't mind someone having a little fun with cars that are not pieces of art, like the 300SL. |

Benecia being 25minutes from my house we drove down to take a look. While it is even uglier in real life, apparently the car was a rust bucket headed for the crushers when they found it. So a grudging hats off for keeping it alive (sort of).
