Unhappy Dead 560 SL

Hi, think I have killed my 560 Sl connected battery backward smell of burning, switched battery to correct polarity but no ignition lights when switched on engine cranks but wont start, where do I start, Need big help I think

Yeah, this is fairly bad. The first place I'd look is to re-fuse/replace the OVP and go on from there. If you are REALLY lucky, the OVP might have sacrificed itself to save a lot of the electronics. The radio, however... I don't think goes through the OVP. If still not running, the EZL and the fuel computer would be good places to start. This is going to be fairly expensive unless you can get used parts.

Keep in mind that even things that look like "relays" in this car contain electronics - for example, the idle controller contains an entire microprocessor. The fuel pump "relay" and AC relay also contain active components.
