107 AC Filter

Need some advice from the well infromed. Is there a cabin air filter or air conditioning filter in the 107 chassis?? I get cold air and heat but it takes a little time before it starts blowing out. My thought is that the Pneumatics are a little stick or perhaps a semi clogged 25 year old filter. Any comments are always much welcomed.. Thanks much!

I think I remember reading that there is a built-in delay before the blower comes on. This may be to allow the hot water or the cold refrigerant time to get to the exchanger before it blows air in the cabin. (M-B Engineers are so considerate...). I do not believe that there is a filter. Maybe others can confirm both of these beliefs.

No filter for the AC in the 107s.
There is a delay when you turn on the system...so no instant AC or heat. Takes about 2-3 minutes.

thanks guys! Any reason for the designed "delay"? Understand the heat if you first start up, but the cool doesn't make sense. Anyway if that's the design.... I suppose I'm okay then.

I'm not aware of a delay for AC, There is a delay for heat which is based on coolent temperature, I belive heat will not come on until 40° C. In defrost mode heat comes on imidiatly.

Sometimes, my AC will take a minute or so to start blowing...especially after the car has been sitting a while. But on warm starts, the AC is there instantly.

I don't ask "why"...I just thank my lucky stars it works at all!!!
