I had mine done a few years ago for about $900 with a stayfast top.

Where are you located? If you live in a big urban area the prices tend to be a bit higher.

I've seen all sorts of claims of same material and quality as the original but whenever I put the two side by side the difference it clear. They are not.

Last time I got a price from MB the top alone was $1700. Typical good after markets are in the $400 to $500 range.

$1600 installed is a fair price for a good installed after market, but you may be able to do better depending on where your located.

Sounds about right. I think World Upholstery are in that range. Probably best to steer clear of the cheap eBay tops. Deal with someone with a store front.

I can't find an installer in my area - I was told I could get one installed in Montreal for $500. So, about $1k plus taxes freight etc - Maybe $1200 all in.
