The suspension is what I really like

So I normally drive the 1988 SL. Weekends and family trips the 1994 E320 wagon. Today for work I rented a contemporary Chevy V6 sedan and drove the crap out of it. It really woke me up to why I like these old school MB designs. Talk about superior suspension set ups. After dumping the rental and getting back in the SL, I felt like I was steaming in an agile, controlled, and powerful swedish-designed cruising yacht. It's like riding on soft rails. The wagon is almost as good. And then there's the brakes and the inherently silky, powerful, and responsive inline sixes.
