450slcguy has a nice picture of the modulator valve but it is missing the pin that goes in and out according to the vacume, but he is right on about the price........Dan

thanks Dan, I will put that in my back pocket, right now with the linkage adjustment it feels pretty good.

Ron,

I had the shop that fixed a front seal leak, fix the sloppy bushing about a year ago. But they made the bushing themselves and it never was right. It is once again really sloppy.

I recall that it was not easy to get at the bushing. Presumably the lever has to be disconnected first?

Did you do the job yourself? Any tips?

Second part of question is about adjustment. I seem to recall that the rod needed to be pushed all the way back and then adjusted so it just pops onto the ball with throttle against stop. Does that sound right?

yup did it myself, and explained pretty well in the service manual. I never messed with the modualtor , just the linkage. I have a copy of the procedure somewhere, I will look for it
