280SL Start Problems - NEED HELP

My 84 280SL had a serious hot-start issue. It used to take 3-4 tries and a lot gas pedal pumping to start it when the engine was hot.

I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel accumulator. Problem got a lot better but problem isn't completely solved.

Now when the engine is hot or very cold (sitting outside) i have to give it gas when starting or the engine will sputter out. If I give it gas it will start and then run. It does run and idle a little rough.

When the engine is at ambient temperature (sitting in the garage) it starts fine.

I have a fuel pump relay to install but i cant locate where to replace it.

Does anyone have any ideas what would cause this? Any suggestions what to test for?
