Well since I own paper versions of the factory service manual, I can state that they are not at all vauge or unclear. The aftermaket manuals are pretty crappy, and like another poster suggested... Alldata is probably the best solution.

Are you mentally ill or something?
Provoking members of the forum is not acceptable.
You are welcome to join the GTG at my place.
Legal action? For what? Your feelings were hurt?
Grow up.

You received the answer to your question. You wanted spoon feeding like a baby. You got it. Take it or leave it.

I have just completed this job on a customers car. I am of the opinion I would have done better removing the engine/transmission.

I held the engine from above with my engine support cradle. Dropped the shocks, brakes, steering coupling, ...( Had to cut the flex hose tab...not best way...) etc and lowered the sub frame down out of the way.

It would have been quicker to pull the engine. Admitted if the exhaust is rusty from living north of Kansas, dropping the s/f is may be less hassle than cutting the exhaust down pipe bolts, etc.

Okay...Observation : I seem to be seeing/reading a little more hostility across all the forums lately. Might I humbly suggest, in the words of a certain person on the end of a police baton .....

''Can't we all just get along ?".

That about sums it up.

From his original post, he didn't appear to have access to the service information. And, when I suggested alldatadiy.com, he got offended. I hate to see a thread in this excellent forum to go this way, but these things happen with some people unfortunately.

Regards to all.

Sigh. What happened Jimbo?

I drove all the way to Okie and you never showed.

I am truly disappointed.

there's an old saying; "It's better to keep your mouth shut and have one think you're a fool, than to open it and remove the doubt." Perhaps Jim you should remember this. This forum is a great exchange of wisdom and shouldn't be degraded by the likes of you>

All- I've had a rough couple of days and just got back home in a slightly sour mood. I'd like to say thanks to all who contributed to this one as it gave me a good laugh. Great crew here. Regards, Ned
