Radiator hoses on 110 engine

My 85 280SL Euro has the 110 engine. Does anyone know the diameter of the lower radiator hose? If I can get the hose diameter prior to replacing it I won't have to pull the old one first, drain the fluid and then go looking for hose stock at parts stores all over town.. Just trying to save time and drive around time plus gas....Thanks Desert

If you are using a PC subscribe to the MB Electronics Parts Catalogue (EPC).
https://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/subscribe.jsp

It is free. Requires a credit card to verify US residency. The 280SL shows two hoses with a tube or line between them.

I have already ordered the two hoses with the tube inbetween ( bypass hose) from Mercedes. The hose I am asking about is the the main hose bewteen the block and the radiator located at the bottom of the radiator. It is probably metric but my guess is between one and 3/4 inch and 2 inches. ....Desert

I don't know where you are located, but I bought all my hoses at the dealership.

I am located in Tucson and we have a dealer here, I ordered the bypass hose from them but the larger hose is just a simple approximatly foot and a half hose with no curves or anything that's why I thought I could get it from stock at an auto parts store and save some bucks. If anyone knows the diameter of this hose I'd appreciate it....Desert

Hose size

You could make a stab at it. Measure the outside diameter, determine the
radius and subtract 6 mm.
