R107 Technical Articles

What issues do you guys have with the R107's and which would you like to read/learn DIY on?

The visors and weather stripping is a common issue with this chassis but I'd like to know what you guys are interested in.

1. A single, integrated posting on diagnosing fast idle problems that pulls together all the different hints and tips found in multiple problems.

In my case I have a 380SL with fast idle .....

2. Any illustrated DIYs on just about anything - maybe start with cam oiler inspection as that is so critical?

The weather stripping is a common issue with these cars as well. Here is a link to some of the ones Pelican has listed on-line.

It's been over a year since this great idea by Trinidad. Looks like he has fizzled by the wayside

URO brand weather strips have a very poor reputation in the 107 world.

For the important seals, MB. A pillars, trunk, door and soft top boot lid are three that I can think of off hand.

Four months and nothing. Maybe get rid of the sticky until there is something worth while.
