Mercedes Nut Bolts Washer and Screws

Does anybody know where to find out how to Cross Reference the part number
for Mercedes nuts, bolts washer and screws. There must be a way to find out what there are in metric. I have been ordering them from Mercedes. What a pain in the ??????
Thanks
Pete

are you subscribed to the EPC, that gives some pretty specific information
OTOH I usuall guess 8-10-13 mm are most common in MB's

Well, the problem is that the EPC to the best of my knowledge gives you only a part number, not an industry-standard description (M8 X1.25 x 40mm Grade 8, for example). I doubt if MB makes a ton of money on these "overpriced" parts because there is so much overhead in inventory and logistics.

Same with all of the o-rings and seals in the engine and the transmission. There are darned-few unique seals in them.

truth in that . I have taken so many MB's apart that I have a big box of mercedes nuts and bolts, screws and clips. I just go to that, and although it may take a bit of time, I can usually find what I need

I've saved all the fasteners whenever I've parted out a car.
Those coffee cans full of MB fasteners and oddball parts have saved me more times than I can remember.

Even if you do not have the room/time/ability to part out a car, you can gather a lot of fasteners at a junkyard.

Jim
