73sl and 83sl interchangeable parts?

Hi, I have a 83 380 sl with busted subframe and 73 450sl. Are the trannys interchangeable? What about the doors? Motor and electronics? I am thinking of parting the 83 380sl out and I am wondering if I should go with the 380 motor in the 450 with electronics or keeping some parts for future use. Tranny, rear end, and whatever other parts I can swap later when the 450sl breaks down.

I already have use for the hood, trunk lid, fenders and doors if interchangeable.

Anyone looking for 380sl motor and tranny?

Body parts yes. Trans no. Fuel system no. You would need to strip the '73 to a shell and use the wiring harness and all parts from the 380. Unless the 380 was a euro engine or converted US engine I wouldn't use it.

Why not just replace the subframe? Much easier than an engine swap.
