I purchased a new lighter that has a led light in it , Upon inserting it lit up as soon as it lit up it along with the dash lights went out,Trying to repair thinking a relay or circuit breaker blew no power to lighter>?Fuses all check out ok.Hoping somebody has an idea where to trace problem.I noticed this model has no dimmer switch as to control dash lights.

What fuses are you checking?

There are some on the drivers side under hood, 5 or so under the cover on the passenger side under hood and a small amount near the right trunk hinge.

For the passenger side under hood, look for the emissions sticker on the cover. Remove the allen bolts ( use a flash light to look under the air duct work to make sure all of them are out. ) There is a relay box that holds some small and one large. ( the large one is for the emissions air pump.
