Question 12V under the Hood?

Hi all, Does any one know of a 12VDC point in the engine compartment that is hot (on) only when the engine is on, or Key in, or Acc.

But off when the engine/key is off or key out is off?

on some the horn relay
there also may be a small fuse box on fender well depending on car and year.

A volt meter and your fuse box will uncover that for you.

I hate to keep carping on this. Since ALL models of SLs have been combined here it should be mandatory to post the chassis ID in the thread title. I keep opening threads only to find it is about a W113, R129 or something newer. Waste of time.

Aha 560SL! I was going to post that my 1972 350SL has battery under the hood

Can't answer for sure, but I am sure others can. Otherwise head over to teh Benzworld r107 forum where there is more activity:
