1982 380 Sl Fuel Pump replacement
I am looking to rebuild my fuel pump. My Question's are this
1.I bought a new Fuel Accumulator . But when I went to install it the fuel line nut is to small and will not start on the threads to the Accumulator. Part number is 000-476-04-21. The Fuel line is out of a 560 SL 2. Will a fuel pump from a 560 sl work on my 380 sl. The Fuel pump that I have is a new one Part # is Bosch 0 580 -254 950 3. The Fuel filter that I have is Part# 002 477 44 01 this also came out of a 560 sl will this work or will I have to replace it with 002 447 17 01 Thanks for all your help Swildcat4 newmanpc2@verizon.net |

you really need to match the pump specs for it to work properly. I have found that you really have to replace all the fuel pump gizmos and pump with OEM or NOS just like the car came with or the Kjet will give you issues. If it were older I could give you the specs , perhaps someone will chime in. In the meantime I will look through my books , I may have something

The only part that has the same number on both models is the fuel filter. OE on both was 001 477 87 01 which was superseded by 002 477 17 01. No idea what 002 477 44 01 is from.
