1975 Mercedes 450 SLC Turn Signal Flasher

Wow I see a bunch of " Turn Signal Flasher " not working
Well here is another one .
1975 MB 450 SLC I got from storage .
The QUESTION :
(1) WHERE IS THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ON A 1975 Mercedes 450 SLC ?
( California Car BTW )
(2) Where is the Relay for the Turn Signal Flasher if they have one same car 75 SLC ?
(3) Whats wrong with my Turn signals ?
(4) If a 1975 Mercedes SLC has a Turn Signal Flasher what is the Part number of it ? ( I see none listed on Pelican )

Has a 4 Way Hazard Button on the middle of the Consul in between the electric Window Control Button's .
I removed the Hazard Button and tried in in 1975 Mercedes 450 SEL I happen to own as well as the Turn signals work fine on that car .
Upon removal I noted the Hazards Switches where the same part number Exactly .
ON THE SEL
Switch worked Fine / Turn Signals worked fine ( from the 75 SLC ) in my 75 SEL ? humm
On the SEL I noted the Clicking sound when I turned on the Turn signals or Hazard from under the instrument Cluster like near the Tack .
I also removed the Fuse Box Cover on the SEL where is Also 3 Relays
and noted a Clicking sound from then .
Removed the relays 1 by 1 and the Signal Clicking sound remained ?
I can not find the Flasher on that 450 SEL as well

Back to the 75 450 SLC
(1) All Bulb's and Fuses are good and Clean . Wiring Looks Perfect
(2) Turn signal Lights Light up when You select Left or right but do not flash. If You move the turn signal Arm by Hand on and Off then they Flash on and Off as you move the control on and off .
??????????
So the system is working it seems except I does not work as if the Flasher is burned out ?
(3) I searched under the Dash with Inspection Panel removed and see No Flasher at least what looks like it could be a Flasher ?
WHERE IS IT ?

The flasher unit is located behind the instrument cluster. Some say you can reach it from below by removing the lower dash panel. I found it easier to remove the steering wheel and cluster.

Caution>>>>>>>>>>>Do not try to start the car with cluster removed. The oil gauge is mechanical and you will get an oil bath.

But Exactly where behind the cluster ?

Thanks for Reply ( I know about the Oil but a good tip )
As Stated in my Post if you read it ?

SO Beyond that
( A ) So if it is behind the Cluster EXACTLY Where behind the Cluster ? I don't see one perhaps it is removed ?
( I read somewhere about a Flasher behind the Tack at bottom , a Round Flasher but not sure what year that was ? )
(B ) What is the part Number ? Pelican does not seem to sell it or I can't find it on the Parts site ?
A Part number would be A Huge help because then I can get a photo of it most likely and thus know what to look for
What I do see is a wire with a 6 pin connector on it hanging down by the foot control for windshield washing Perhaps that is it and its removed /

Here it is on a 560SL. It was in the same place on a '72 450SL It is either part number 002 544 23 32 or 001 544 97 32.

Thanks Rowdie
001 544 97 32 Looks interesting , Net says its a Flasher Relay Humm
. Do you think that would be behind the cluster as well / Also

Wow very Costly Now I need to know the interchange so I can get one from salvage perhaps .
I am wondering if my 75 SEL has the same Unit ? a 4 door sedan

Humm this looks interesting perhaps a 123 well work just fine what do you think

I stiil don't know Exactly where to look for the darn unit ? if it made a noise that would help . I am worried perhaps this car has it removed ?
That Link says something about looking around the Vent but that's a 116 not a 107 I wish I knew Exactly to look for it .
Thank for any additional Advice

The EPC calls a pulse sender unit. Doesn't really matter what we call it. Did you look to see if it is there? Even if you don't see it the socket will be there.

Another " Great Tip " is a Socket ? great I can look for the Socket then if I don't see the Unit . I been getting these Cars for years and many times don't know whats been done to them , like with or without Flasher.
Hope to check it out in the next few days or so . working with friend renovating the Garage shop building and don't want him to lose energy with me all of a sudden returning to Car Projects .
I did pull the Dash Cap and could see the Cluster is loose in the Dash a easy Pull after removing the pin connector and oil Line / whatever other wires and such . I guess I well look at the Heat Vent area ( Drivers side foot-well )first to make sure I don't see one in that Area .
Did Note in the Pass side Foot-well Area over the fuse's with Cardboard panel removed some 8 small relays and 2 Large relays for a total of 10 relays ( WOW ) some of those look hard to remove BTW . I wonder what all of them are for humm Thanks the Car gods all the wiring everywhere looks excellent .
