1988 560SL AAC issues

My car has Climate Control functionality only intermittently.

I get complete functionality fairly often, but the last few days I would find my ac compressor clutch engaged (Cold air through vents while driving), but my fan would not blow. Then the AC clutch also quit functioning after an engine restart. The AC didn't work again for 20 minutes, when it resumed all functions while I was on a drive.

I pulled the AC blower relay and the ACC button panel.

All looked good, except the wood mounts for the ACC panel had come loose. I glued them back in.

Any ideas?
