How to Replace Instrument Light Bulbs in 380SL

I need to replace the bulb(s) that light the oil pressure/water temp side of the instrument cluster on my 380SL. Does the cluster need to come out to do this, or can you get to it another way?

TIA.

The cluster needs to come out. I've heard that the steering wheel needs to come off also, it definitely does on my 560SL.

I just did the bulbs in my dash.....you need to pull the wheel to get the cluster out....The cluster is only friction fitted (no screws holding it in) in mine. Should be the same on yours.

While you have it out, you might as well change all the bulbs....

Good luck,
Rich

Take note of the position of the steering wheel, as there is a top &a bottom. The wrong way will obstruct the view of the speedometer
