1991 500SL starting problems when cold
My SL always hesitates while starting when its cold(I'm in Southern California so its not that cold), but always turns over. It then hesitates for a couple seconds whenever I am at a stop and then press on the accelerator. Does anyone have any ideas.

I suffered the exact symtoms on my 300SL. Then is was the EGR-vent that was leaking. I could hear the leak when listening to the engine. Now I'm no expert so I don't even know if there is a EGR-vent on the 500 (even though I own one).
