Where does the first aid kit go?
When I got my 560SL, the first aid kit was laying in the floor behind the seat. I notice that the cradle it slides in to has holes in it for mounting purposes. My question is, where is the correct location for the first aid kit to be mounted? How did it come from the factory?
Thank you, Peter Powers, Indianapolis |

IT mounts behind the passenger seat, against the right side of the cargo area, on the floor of same--opposite the top release handles.

how does it attach?
Does it attach to the side panel or to the rear deck? Is it attached with screws?

First aid kit
As I recall it was held down by two screws into the wooden platform. The screws were chrome with finishing washers.

Mine did not come with the first aid kit or the cradle. I have been wondering, though, if there is some security for the kit -- if you have the kit in the cradle and leave the top down it would seem that the first hooligan to walk by would grab it? Does it lock somehow?

Mine came with a cradle. I have my top down all the time and it has never been stolen. I guess hooligans are far between in Newport Beach.
Watch where you park your car.

you'ld be surprised at the number of hooligans here and there and generally all-about!

First aid kit
The standard location was on the rear shelf, I installed the aftermarket seat, the first aid kit ended up in the trunk on the carpeted cover over the battery, looked pretty good in my opinion.

I would'nt think it would be of much value to anyone but a profusely bleeding hooligan!

Hooligans are known to take things that have no value to them -- making them, well, hooligans!
A hooligan would not however be able to remove the first aid kit from the (locked) trunk of the car -- it would however be an addition to the onerous task of viewing the battery (that is opening the trunk, unscrewing the clasp and peeling the carpeted cover up) to add removing first aid kit from sleeve prior to ... unscrewing the clasp and peeling the carpeted cover up. Do they include tylenol in the F.A.K.?
