Auxilary fan doesn't work.. on r129 91 SL

The fans closest to the front bumper don't seem to spin and the car runs hot when turned off after driving hard or going up hills. Where are the relays? Also I'm in need of some xenons. Are the ones from Performance Products the best deal; do they look as white and shiny as, lets say, stock 2002 lights?
Thanks,
Cy

You may want to check your fuse first. Mine had a blown fuse a few years back and I was about to go nuts trying to figure out what went wrong. It is always the smallest things that will get you.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. All the fuses are intact; I think it may be the waterpump that's bad.
Thanks again

Details...

The R129 fans are not supposed to come on with the ignition turned off. Getting a bit hotter locally after the engine is turned off is normal, as the water is no longer moving. Auxiliary fans turn on above 100C.

Best explanation of the fans is in section number 18 at the link below.
