560 Sl Doesn't start at first crank
My 86 560 sl runs well but I have been having problems starting it . It starts at first crank in the mornings when I leave for work, but after that, it takes at least two cranks to start the motor when I return home and thereafter during the daily stops and go around town.
I changed the plugs, the distributor cap and the rotor. What else am I missing? Since I got the car last March until the end of the Summer I had no problems starting it at first crank. I am sure the car had a complete tune up just before I got it. Besides the starting problem, the car has been running great! It seems that it should be a minor adjustment and I will give it a final try before taking it to the mechanic. Please help, Pat |

Pat, A common cause of your warm start problem is the fuel accumulator. There are other possibilities but this is mentioned most. Try a search and you'll get other opinions.
