Ken, I agree with your lexus comments. While reliable, they are amazingly boring.

I've enjoyed the SL's I've had and will keep getting them. As for depreciation. New or used, you pay your money and you take your chances. I prefer to pay on the front side(lease) and not have to deal with any hassles. I trade my SL every 2-3 years and really haven't had a mechanical issue in years. Amazing since I'm pretty hard on them.

When it comes down to it I guess I'm probably a something-else guy. For me cars are transportation, although fun transportation.

My true love lies in powerboats. You think MB maintenance is high?? LOL, try boats or planes. I've got a boat that I swear can smell when I have extra money.

Interestingly, my buddy bought the SL. I've told him about the website, so maybe he'll show up, though he's not much of a web guy.
