Do I have to use MB Fluids?

I am going to be placing an order for some things and am wondering:

What kind of Anti-Freeze do I need to use for a 98 SL500? Must I actually use M-B brand? Or can it be some regular type brand that I can get at Autozone, etc.?

Same question for Power Steering and Brake fluids.

Thanks!

Doug

I'd go with the MB stuff in all those areas

My local MB dealer specifically reccommended Dextron III in my power steering. I replaced the filter and fluid (no doubt, for the first time) in my 86 560, 84K. Both filter and fluid looked really bad-black and with suspended junk. Has someone heard otherwise?

For the little bit you will use in a year. Why not spend the big bucks and use the real MB fluids. Might cost an extra $20 this year, but isn't your SL worth it? (and I really do hafta switch my "new" 300SDL over to MB antifreeze soon).
