WTB W124 Dash and console bulbs?
94 E420.
Okay, the 2 climate control bulbs, 2 of the vent bulbs, and a couple of the cluster bulbs (windshield-washer-fluid low, etc) are out. All the locations use the same 1.2 watt wedge style bulb. The dealership wants…get this…….$5 PER bulb. I fell on the floor laughing…. then thought about killing them all. I know the dealer prices are high, but $5 each isn’t even rational. I sent an email to fastlane asking if they carried those bulbs as their website doesn’t list them. As of yet, no response. So now I turn to you. Does anybody know of a source for them? They measure 0.7” long, 0.19” globe diameter, the “wedge” section approx 0.10” thick and .17 wide I found this image on the web and the bulb on the left looks like the bulbs in question. |

If you have Pepboys in your area...
they carry them. Some other auto parts stores may also have them. Make sure they are OEM. Pepboys does.

they look like 168 or 194 bulbs. if so, very common interior bulb... I just replaced one which was a speedofuel gauge light on my g/f's '01 Corolla.
take a burnt-out bulb to a regular auto parts store and see if you can find one that matches what you got... |

Hi,
The 1.2 watt bulbs are Sylvania 2721, and are available at Autozone, Kragen, and other general auto parts stores. The larger bulbs for the instrument cluster illumination are NOT 168 or 194 bulbs, although those will fit (and consequently melt your lighting prisms). The correct bulb is Sylvania 2821 (also known as W3W). |

are you even sure that its the bulbs?? check your fuse box. all my lights went out including the passenger tail light because there was a short in my headlight wiper system. Jerry form Import Auto works fixed this at a cost of a grand total of 0!!! great guy. all he had to do was replace the fuse. good as new. but i do need new bulbs all around. the lights still seem a little dim... imagine an hid kit for these lights...hahah

Is the 1.2 W correct wattage? Some say it is 0.4W.
My regular part guys in Malaysia has the 1.2W Frosted-type and also the clear type (picture in earlier post) Price is USD1 for frosted and USD0.25 for clear 1.2W |

IIRC they are 1.2 watts. 0.4 watts would be a really, really dim bulb and I don't recall ever using one in my 300E, and I have replaced a bunch of warning lights, dash vent lights, shifter light, ashtray light, and such.
