WTB: 2.24 or 2.47 differential for w123
I'm looking to replace the lunk at the back of my 82' 300D, right now I'm turning 3,000-3,2000 at 70 MPH; I would like to reduce that down to the 2,500 range
I don't care about acceleration, longer engine life and better fuel economy appeal to me

I have a diferential off an 81 300D. Works fine except it will need a new pinion seal since its leaking there a little. The rear axle ratio is 3.46.

i pulled a 2.47 from a 84 380SEL i think any of the v8 gas cars from 81-84 are 2.47. if you want the 2.24 you will have to get from an SEC. I havent installed it because I am still working on an adapter to use a BMW 5 speed.

I have a 2.47:1 diff if that will work for you from an 88 SEC.
