Having any luck selling these? I've got about 6 or so in the garage and gave up on trying to unload them awhile ago.

If that wheel would fit my '94 I'd take it Dave. I bought a '92 wheel, old slip-ring design, won't work.

John, no not much, mostly due to the lack of a matching airbag. I thought some C209 & R230 folks with older/worn wheels might like to get a spiffy new one for cheap, but maybe they're just not looking. (?)
Jeff, well, yes it will fit a '94... but the problem is, finding the airbag! Almost all wheels are interchangeable through at least the early 2000's if you can get the airbag. The slip-ring thing is not a dealbreaker, btw. 1992-93 cars use a special contact ring (different than 86-91), and this 92-93 ring is needed to fit a 92-up wheel on a vehicle 1991 or older. 1994-up switched to a "contact spiral" design which is mounted on the steering column, not the back of the wheel. But if you have a '92 wheel, you can remove the contact ring (4 screws on the inside of the wheel) and mount it on your '94. Some photos of this process are shown in this thread. I kinda like the newer wheels, though... usually softer leather, and in nicer shape. BTW, I would take $65 with free shipping in the USA for the new 380mm wheel I've got posted on eBay... |
