gen bracket

hi
if your 180 is like my 190b (1960)
it takes one generator bracket (L shaped) and a bunch of special washers, nuts and bolts.
all of this is available at the dealer, however the bracket is A "GERMANY"item, meaning it will take a month or two to arrive.
the washers etc are CHEAP from Mercedes Benz.
My bracket cracked,I welded it and replaced the washers etc.
after 400 miles it cracked again?
now ,I will replace the bracket and try to figure out the proper way to tighten the parts?
hope this helps.
