Kompressor C200 - Starting problem
Hi all,
Every morning I have trouble in starting my C200. I have to remove the battery and connect again to start it. But this happens only in the morning, for the rest of the day I do not have this problem. The next morning again I have to remove the battery and connect again. It does not crank also, but the lights, radio works fine. I took the car to the local garage he suspects lambda sensor(oxygen sensor) could be problem but he told me to take the car to Mercedez service centre which I do not want to do as this would be really expensive for me. Any one had similar experience? |

The O2 sensor doesn't "kick in" until the engine reaches normal operating temperature so it shouldn't be the problem. I would guess you have a crank or cam position sensor problem. Without these signals the ecu doesn't know when to inject fuel or fire the spark plugs. Did the local garage hook up a scan tool and read any codes?
Oh, and you're in the wrong forum. Last edited by Section106; 10-13-2011 at 08:12 PM. |
