1982 240D Parting out, died due to rot
Tranny was removed 9/13/13- 4 speed automatic, rebuilt 20000 miles ago in 2010 from Mike's Mercedes of Schenectady (I was ripped off, but it shifts well). 198K on car.
Car "died" due to rot becoming unsafe, ran and drove great. 192,000 miles on car. I purchsed an 81 240D 4 speed, so all parts from the 82 are for sale or spares for myself. Rotterdam, NY location Sold so far - rear electric window switches, cover for wiper motor keeping - headlight lenses (both, they are the halogen upgrade), passenger front turn signal. Dash has two very minor cracks that I didn't notice until I removed it! Tan interior, passenger seat is excellent!

Dashboard! and other items
Very nice, someone glued the instrument panel in it, so buyer will get that as well.

Looks like...
in your first post, in the back ground, is that the 240 you're parting out, up on ramps? If so, looks like the wheel has white stripes on it, do any of the other three have these same stripes? If so, looks like you may have a set of some fairly desirable aluminum wheels...interesting

Are you selling the motor? Is it in good running order?

Motor ran like a top, I would play with the idea of selling, but would want a solid price. not even 200K on her. I'll keep her without a real solid price and someone willing to pay for freight.

I thought about what you said, yes, these wheels are LIGHT, they must be aluminum!
