WTB - W123 Blue Dash

I did something a few years ago I knew I would always regret. Sold my perfect Blue Dash in a part out for probably not enough money..

Well, I've recently acquired my dream car from a fellow forum member. Silver on Blue 1983 300TDT, and its in desperate need of an un-cracked dash! I hate all the dash board cover options.

If you have a good quality blue dash, please PM me.

Matthew

Unfortunately I do not have a nice blue dash, however, let me pass along a possible solution. If you can find a nice uncracked black dash it can be dyed blue. A company named Color Plus sells a blue dye that is a perfect match to the factory blue dash. Their dye can be sprayed on or using a quality artist brush can be brushed on. I dyed a black dash about 10 years ago using this blue dye and am very pleased with the result. The dye does not peel off and after 10 years is very durable and still true to the correct color. Color Plus is located in Pennsylvania and they have a website. The owner is Diane. The cost of the dye for a pint is approximately $100.

Thank you for the alternative method. I have no doubt that would work perfectly, I'll just have to find a perfect black dash to start with which might be just as difficult!

That's where I bought the red dye/color when I was re-doing the interior of my fintail. GREAT stuff. Really nice lady too.
