WTB 240D oil cooler
This is the one with both ports at the bottom.

Let me guess, both aluminum threads are stripped/galled, as per 99% of the failures on these 240D coolers. I have a few junk 240d coolers in stock, but nothing better than what you currently have.
I could tig weld some new bungs onto it. But that's going to take a week or so because I don't have new fittings in immediate stock. |

I’m in that 1%.
It’s weeping from somewhere in the middle, drizzling out through the fins. It’s only apparent at highway speeds. I got some of those replacement fittings from the dealership just in case I had to drill and tap. Why on earth are you welding them on?

Did not know dealer sold fittings. Thanks for letting me know!
If you want one of my spare ones minus the fitting on the bottom, let me know. Can ship or if you want to pickup that's fine as well |

Another option on the 240d is deleting the oil cooler entirely if you don't use A/C, for example you could order a euro oil filter housing with no oil cooler fittings.

Swapping plates is exactly what I had in mind.
Nice thing about that, it can even be done without removing the oil cooler lines
