FS W124 Front Limo sway bar 28.5mm thick

FS: W124 Front Sway bar

Special order from Germany item. I ordered two sway bars, but I only need one.

It is from the w124 limo, and its 28.5 mm in diamater, which is .5mm thicker than the 500E sway bar.

It is brand new never installed. Bushings will be included.

1 front sway bar from w124 limo
2 outer bushings
2 inner bushings
and shipping to the lower 48 states for

$265.00

Keep in mind this is the same shape as a 300E sway bar, so it is not intended for for the e420/400e, and e500/500e, so I dont know if it will fit the V8 models. I know it will fit most 300Es, 300CE, 300TE, etc.

Thanks,

Austin

Yes - it is for the LWB (long wheelbase) 124 models. Specifically the 124.003, .004, .007, .105, and .106. I call it the "limo" bar because a lot of people don't know what "LWB" means, but most get the concept of a "limo"! This bar was also used on the 124 Cabrio (124.066) with the "Sportline" package.

I bought one too, as it is 1mm thicker than the regular Sportline bar in the middle (28.5 vs 27.5), and also at the thinnest point (19 vs 18). The ends of both are still 22mm.

HTH,

BOY! i hope you're wrong about that! lol

if we don't know that at this place, we're in SAD shape!!

probably little or no hope at all...

are the bars and the bushings all you need to up-grade and refresh your front end when changing bars?

Yep, bars and bushings are all that is required. Although if you have an early 124, you may want to replace the frame brackets as well, they were re-designed during production (forget the break point) and the new ones are beefier. If you add the LWB bar, you would also want the 500E rear sway bar (18mm) to balance the package out. Otherwise you'd end up with understeer when pushed hard. I plan to install the LWB bar on my car this spring, and get the 500E bar eventually. I currently have the regular Sportline bars (27.5/18/22mm front, and 16.5mm rear).

Don, it depends is my sister wants me to install my old Sportline bars on her car (same year/model as mine). If not, I'll be selling them. Since I won't be installing them for a month or three, it will be a while....

Austing, just curious, why are you selling the LWB bar and also your 500E bar? What are you going to put on the car, the stock bar...? I'm confused...

Regards,

Its sold already, however there seems to be quite a bit of interested in this sway bar upgrade. I think I might try to put together a group buy. let me know if you are interested in that.. Maybe I could get much better pricing.

Hey, I am interested in the limo bar and 500E rear bar setup. Are you going to do a group buy? If not, do you know where I can buy a "limo" bar and the rear 500E bar?

thanks,

Depends what you mean by a "bit." If you mean, nearly $90 dollars over 100, then you would be right.

Bushings are about 15 dollars each thats 60.

190+60+ shipping, $265 is fair according to Winter 2003 pricing.

I bet now it will be a lot more than that.

Ebenz, I like you dude, but you need to be very sure before making those kinds of comments.

No, I will probably not do a group buy on this. Most people can get a good deal on mercedes parts on their own. Unless I was going to get 10 sets or more, then it would be a good deal, but I dont have time for it with school right now.

Where can you get them?
you can call phil at www.peachparts.com here on the site. He should be able to get them to you around the price that I was selling them for. It might take about 4-8 weeks to get though. It took about 1 month to get 3 300E limo sway bars.

If you need help, email me.
