Bundt Rims-width
Were the Bundt Rims made in different widths...Is a 5.5 inch Bundt a common width...I have never seen any except 6 inch or maybe 6.5 inch...When did the Bundt Rim come out and what model cars had them early on...thank you Jim

They became available sometime right around 1970.
I have personally seen only one set of 5 1/2 X 14", in a junkyard on a late '70s 240D which appeared to be a grey-market car. The 6 X 14" are by far the most common in the USA, since they were available on almost all the M-B cars sold in North America from the early '70s through 1985 or thereabouts; I think that they were all 30mm offset. However, during that same period the long wheelbase S-class cars and V8 powered cars of both S and SL categories usually had 6 1/2 by 14"; I believe those of the '70s had a nominal 30mm offset, although the 4 I own actually measure something more like 28mm, but some from the early '80s may have been made with a 25mm or 22mm offset. Most coveted of all are the very rare 15" dealer-installed versions -- I think that they were 7" wide, but I'm not sure, and I don't know what the offset was.

I've got a 15x7 Bundt rim, and I believe the offset if 23, but cannot verify it- it is not printed on the inside.
