92 300D angled rear wheels-normal?
Hey all,
Got myself a 92 300D 2.5 Turbo diesel (W124) and noticed that my rear wheels are angled in on the top. The front wheels look straight up and down. Is this normal? Are there adjustments that can be made? Thanks for any info. -m

most W124's I have seen have a little extra negative camber in the rear ....

Ahh. Tires still wear evenly enough if rotated on schedule? Does it affect handling at all? I guess I never noticed it before.

how much is a little?
Like Luke says a little negative camber is normal for 124s, but depends how much you mean. Could also be worn-out bushings that the PO didn't want to pay to replace. I'd compare it to other 124s if you have the chance, and plan on getting the rear suspension worked over if it seems excessive. A tighter rear end will greatly improve the handling as well, especially on wet roads (BTDT).

Hey,
Thanks for the additional info on this. How can I measure the camber myself? I could post some pictures but it's not very exacting.... I have some neighbors with 300E's I'll have a look at theirs tomorrow.... Thanks much for the response.... -m
