Staggered Wheels W126->W123
I have found a set of staggered wheels form a W126 with the following dimensions:
2 x 9 x 16 ET15 (rear) 2 x 7,5 x 16 ET20 (front) Will these follow the rule of thumb that wheels from a W126 will fit a W123?

i would think yes, but are you thinking of running different wheels on the front and back of your car?
that much difference may not be a good idea. tom w

that is correct. The rear wheels are 1.5 inches wider than the front wheels. Gotta harness those 120 HP somehow! What sort of problems can that cause?

Here is a picture of the wheels. There just doesn't seem to be that big of a selection of wheels for these cars. My bundts are beat, and I would like something with a bit less sidewall.

oh, i see.
i misread your post thinking you were going with 20" on the back and 15" on the front. the WIDER rims shouldnt be a problem as long as the tires dont rub. tom w

They don't seem to rub on the W126. (this is a W126 right...I'm not as familiar with the newer bodies)
The W123 has lower wheel arches in the rear, but the stock wheels have about 2 inches of clearance. Any body know if I can calculate the distance these will extend from the hub so I can measure it? Thanks Edit: I have calculted that these wheels reach 3.91 inches past the hub. What is the offset and width of the stock bundts?
