...on OEM 300 E wheels -- what kind of MPG hit will I take for using wider tires?
Neglible? 1-2 MPG? I average about 19mpg now in city/highway mix driving with my 195's. Thanks for any input ~Paul |

With the stock rim, don't switch to 205/60/15 unless the tire you want is only made in that size. 205 is really too large for a 6.5" rim I think. It looks a little goofy. Performance difference is negligible. Do NOT use 205/65/15 unless you have a V8 (in which case I would recommend it).

Correct me if I am wrong but, isn't that the size of the sportline tire? May be a different wheel width?

Correct, that is the size of the Sportline tires. Sportline used a 15x7J rim versus 15x6.5J normal.

There should be minimal mileage penalty going to 205. 205/60 is a good fit for your 6.5" wheel. |
