I'm considering buying 18" by 8" wide AMG monoblock replicas from Bekkers (the real AMG's are so damn expensive) to put on my '88 420SEL. What kind of tires would anyone suggest? I'm not looking for a great deal of performance, more for comfort and low noise.

Also, I plan to lower the car an inch or two in the future, would this setup cause any problems as far as rubbing against the fender, etc.?

Anything negative about the AMG replica's by Intra?
