15 x 7", 8-hole wheels/snow tires for sale

After selling my 90 300E, I left with too many wheels and snow tires. Between the two cars I have now (91 300E and 97 E320), I have three sets of 15" wheels/tires and two sets 16" wheels/tires (plus two spares). That is a total of 22 wheels/tires and 12 of them are in the garage. I would like to sell one set of wheels/snow tires.

They are 15 X 7", 8-hole replica wheels made by AT Italia with Dunlop Graspic snow tires on them (got from Tirerack as a package). I used them for one season (about 2000 miles) and they are in excellent (almost new) condition. They will fit any W124 and should fit on a few others. I tried to look at the tirerack website today and they do not have the silver version (they only have the chrome version).

It may not be worth it to ship them, but if someone in MI, IL, IN, OH area wants to come and get them or I can either deliver them (to Western Michigan or Chicago area) or meet halfway.

I am asking $500 for the package.

I received one inquiry about my wheel/tires package. He has a 116 chassis (1976 450 SEL). Does anyone know if my wheels/tires will properly fit on that car?

Thanks.

Snow tires - W124

I might be your guy. I have a 1994 E420, live in Indianapolis, and need snow shoes. Where are you?

Thanks.

wheels and tires

I am going to look up Big Rapids and figure out the best place to meet. Can you give me some particulars about the wheels. I want to make sure they will fit the E420. My 201 190E 2.3-16 wheels do not because of the offset and insufficient room for the brake calipers.

ATATEXAN:

I am pretty sure that 1990 300E and 1994 E420 can use the same wheels and tires.

I went to http://www.discounttiredirect.com/ (sorry the tirerack wheel search engine seems to be down) and searched wheels for both 1990 300E and 1994 E420. Among the 15" wheels, the ATS Mira (15x7 5-112 35s) came up for both cars. That means both cars can use the very same wheels.

Since my wheels are bought from Tirerack for my 1990 300E, they should fit on your 1994 E420.

Bo,

Let's do it. I confirmed with Tire Rack that they work on a 420. From the maps it looks like South Bend is a good halfway point.

ATATEXAN:

Sounds good. Since Winter is still a few month away, let's plan either late Sept or early Oct. Most probably a SAT.

Here is my email address: loub@net-port.com so we can communicate offline.

Thanks.

Bo,

I was trying to figure out which Graspics you bought and figure out a swap location.

I hate to say this, and certainly don't want to rain on the parade, but ATATEXAN should double-check that 300E tires will indeed fit on an E420. I have a '93 400E (essentially the same car) and was told by the good folks at TireRack that the standard replica wheels for a 300E would NOT fit, since the 400E/E420 has bigger brake calipers . . .

In any event, I STRONGLY endorse 4 good winter tires! I have Michelin Arctic ALpins and love 'em.
