500SL Wheels
Does anybody know if a 16 x 8 wheel from a 1990 model 500SL will fit on a 1980 model 450SL ?

Yes, it would fit, but you have to use 5mm spacers to prevent inner wall rubbing on the steering rack's balljoints due to the offset. I have them on my 450 SLC which shares the 450sl's steering geometry. It looks much proportionated with 16" than 14 or 15. Good luck. Anthony
