W116 ('80 300SD) rear hub interchange

Hi folks, I have a 1980 300SD and its rear driver side hub has one broken stud. Broken in such a way that there is no material sticking out either the front or the back side of the hub.

I drilled into it and tried to use some fluted extractors but only succeeded at really "boogering" things up. At this point I don't think I'm going to be able to salvage the hub.

I did find new ones online but they're $700-$800 and with the condition this car is in (needs lots of work), I'm simply not willing to make that kind of investment.

I am curious, are there other years or models for which the '80 300SD's hubs interchange? If so finding a used one would be a lot easier.

If I can't find one I'm regretfully going to just park this car and use it as a parts donor.

Thanks for any advice.

Consider swapping in a complete trailing arm assembly from: 107, 114, 115, 116, 123, 126. You may have to swap parking brake components and caliper.
If you change just the hub, the bearing preload will have to be reset. Swapping a complete trailing arm is probably easier.
