Question Luke - 18x8.5 ET38 fit an 97 S500

I have some wheels for sale, and the buyer has a 97 S500. Only thing I think might be an issue is the offset. Instead of a low 40s offset I have a high 30s, and it might not work for him. I am thinking 255/45/18s would be the size, but would their be any problems if he went to 235/50/18 if it helped him fit his wheels. Just wanted a correct response. I'm going to show him the thread so he feels confident.

Charlie.

the 18x8.5 ET38 wheel does fit a 1997 S500 coupe or sedan .... you can even use a 35mm offset if needed
