I just bought a set of wheels, from a 1995 C class for my 1991 E class. The stock size on my car (300E) is 195/65/15 and the C class is 205/60/15. I bolted the wheels up and they do not rub or look funny. Are there any concerns that you may have? I called the Tirerack and they said that the factory C class wheels would fit without a problem, but I just want to know your thoughts. I did notice that the factory lugnuts for my 300 E class wheels fit flush with the wheel surface when fully tightened and the C class wheels are recessed back, when tightend. What do you think??
Thanks!! |

go get an alignment and enjoy the car. you might also want to get them high speed balanced.
not sure if the tire size is wrong but I think its right for that size wheel for that car. Thanks!
I assume that you are telling me that they will fit. I know the 1986-1993 E class came with 195/65/15 and 94-95 came with 205/60/15. Do you know why my E class lugs are recessed back when I put them on my C class rims? |

Lugs are generally different sizes for different models/wheels. You might want to make sure they arent sticking out the back enough to scrape anything.
You can always get the right lugs from tirerack. If the tires have the same rolling diameter as the stock tires, you should be fine. I plan on upgrading my wheels on my car at some point in the near future as funds permit. ------------------ '92 300CE Metallic Black (Blue Flaked) on Parchment Clear Corners 94-95 Tail-Lights Debadged Black Grille Insert 78.5k Miles Future Upgrades: Sportline Suspension 17" AMG Monoblocks or EVO II's Euro Headlights Performance Chip AMG Exhaust Click here to Go To My 300CE Page |

After close examination it appears that the lugs on my E class have longer threads and a shorter top (where the wrench sits). The C class appears to have a longer top part.I will see about picking some new lus on Monday.
