Will these wheels fit my 1987 W126 420 SEC?

Will either of these sets of wheels fit my 1987 W126 420 SEC?

16" 8 hole standard/stock wheels originally from a 1993 SL500 Roadster, fitted with Michelin P6000 225x55x16" tyres.

16" 15 hole standard/stock wheels from unknown Mercedes, offset 34.

Thanks in advance for any help

all will be 5 x 112mm bolt circle. 2 other considerations:

1- lug bolt size: 12 or 14mm, most "S" cars are 14.

2- offset (listed as ET) use search here to find thread listing link to offset calculator. (or yahoo search on "offset calculator")

i think the 16" 8-slots are somewhat rare, although i believe that this forum's sponsor Tire Rack offers a nice 16" replica.

the 16" 15-slots were probably from bigger "S" sedans, and may be a close match for your W126.

Yes they'll both fit and should both be 34 offsets. You should put a 3mm spacer on the front wheels though, they sometimes rub. This will take your offset to 31mm, a little closer to the 25mm factory offset. I had the 15 slots and the 8 holes on my SEC.

I now have bought the 8 hole 8 X 16" rims, part no. 129 401 0802 ET 34 PCD 5 X 112 for my 1987 W126 420 SEC, to replace the OEM 15 hole rims 7 X 15" ET 25.
If I use the 3mm spacers at the front as suggested, will I need to buy 3mm longer lugs for the front as well? Also, will the front wheels stick out more than the rear wheels, leading to possible safety issues, or is the 3mm difference to small to worry about.
