Original Chrome Wheels for 124
After much searching, I found what I believed to be the proper size wheels (6.5x15) in chrome for my car only to learn that my current lug nuts won't work AND the center caps on the front won't quite stay on right becuse the hubs stick out a little too far. I'm guessing that I'll be able to come up with a solution for lug nuts (comments and direction appreciated)... what about the center caps/hub issue though?

Besides the lug nuts, it seems that the offset is the issue at hand, which causes the inside of the front wheels to rub against the brake calipers (on my 1988 300 SEL). Sooooo now I have a nice set of factory original 6.5x15 chrome with blue center caps... for someone else's car - I believe for a 124, as these are the first three digits of a part number noted on the inside. I recently picked these up off of ebay (item #2459807826). I know there are some folks out there looking for these, as active bidding came down to the wire. Email me (bbell75136@aol.com) if you're interested.
