This used to be my daily driver until I sold it to a friend. Unfortunately, the PO overheated the car and the head gasket went. I bought it back thinking I should fix it and sell it but in reality, I have too many other cars that I need to deal with.

So i'm going to try to sell it, and if I don't then I'll part it as I could use a lot of parts for my 72 280CE.

Here's the good:

New Goodyear tires all around
New brake calipers, hoses, pads and master cylinder. Fluid has been flushed and it stops on a dime.
New shocks front and rear
New engine mounts (dealer only part)
New belts
New sway bar bushing
A/C blows cold and has a sanden conversion
New glow plugs
Front seats re-upholstered and look new.
New windshield gasket
Recent paint looks good, (but could use color sanding and buffing).

The bad:

Head gasket went, probably needs a fan clutch too.
It will either need a new head or the old head to be straightened (not shaved).
Drivers side window regulator needs help on the final inch
Ignition switch does not spring back when the starter is engaged. You'll need to manually move it.

Head is currently off.

I drove this car daily until I sold it. It was no fireball, but it ran well, stopped well and handled well.

The a/c still runs R12 and blows very cold. Last June in the 110 degree Texas weather, I shot a quick video of ice cold vapor blowing out of the vents.

I'd like this car to go to someone who will fix it up. It will be ideal for someone who either has a spare engine, or a spare head lying around and could use a car that needs little else.

I would also prefer local buyers because I prefer a buyer buys with his eyes wide open.

How much are you selling this for.. if its not already in parts???

It's in the Dallas CL for $1200, I'll probably pull the new parts off it in the next week or so and relist it for less as I could use off of those parts on my 280CE.
