Partial partout & WTB: 1984 W123 Euro 300TD
Hello everybody,
I have recently gotten an '84 W123 European wagon with 134k miles that runs, drives but it is rusty beyond affordable repair. I plan on fixing the basics in it to make it a decent overland vehicle for my Alaska-to-Argentina trip, so I am shedding off some unnecessary weight and compensating for some basic maintenance with the revenue. In that same line, I will keep this thread open with some basic parts requests to somewhat get the essentials of a driving machine. We might even come to terms on trading some parts or just panhandling over the forums for things you do not need! As I did with my previous cross-USA trip, it will be documented. Here is the topic (click here) with some pictures of the wagon. Here are some of the parts available for grabs: -Very good, very rare European black cloth interior with 3rd seat. -Good zebrano center console with some cracks, no chips. -European safety triangle and untouched First Aid kit. -SLS rotary pump, SLS valve (rebuilt), SLS reservoir. -All the hardware you need to install a cargo cover. -Set of perfect W123/W124 black vinyl headrests. -Good working front window regulators, electric. -Working Becker Europa Kourier radio (maybe). -Perfect dashboard trim (I have two sets). Some misc. parts I'd like to request, better if trade/free: -Black plastic dashboard trim, condition does not matter. -Plastic bezel for manual climate control (plastic, 240D). -Worst -yet usable- door panels know to man. -Manual window regulators with cranks. -Rear right control arm that is decent. Let the carnage BEGIN!

I also have a few FREE parts for y'all. Whoever asks for them must have over 50 comments on this forum to prove that you are really part of it!
Of course, you pay shipping... FREE PARTS (W123 unless specified) -Turn signal switch, works great but won't come back to position by itself. -Bunch of separate zebrano corners and center dash wood pieces. -Mismatching set of three W124 wagon palomino headrests. -Two genuine door switches. One of the buttons is hard. -Brand new A/C expansion valve. -Hood star in good condition.

If'n you wanted to pull it for the cash, I'm going to have a cracked up dashboard out of my girlfriend's 240d sometime next week for $150 shipped.
The one in your wagon looks like it's intact and would fetch about $300. |

How soon do you need it? I am going to be removing all the SLS components off the car.

It does look like the interior will clean up very nicely. For those of you that don't know, W123 seat covers are very easy to remove and replace. With just the euro cloth material, door panels, and third row components, shipping weight will be light and reasonable. Also a good time to do any spring repair and horsehair padding renewals.
This would be a godsend for someone suffering through the summer with a black interior.

Hello again!
I took a bunch of pictures of the items I want to sell. I found out the shocks are toast, so no luck on that. However, the other items are great! ![]() Dash trim, with the glovebox piece properly removed. Will only sell it as a set. ![]() European Becker Kurier. It works perfectly, including tape deck. ![]() Emergency triangle, do not think it has ever been used. ![]() German First aid kit. It is not the box-style one, but it is complete and unused. ![]() W123/W124 wagon headrests, they fit both cars. Black and perfect shape. Here is a list of parts prices... $600 - Excellent black cloth interior, with 3rd row seat + hardware. $150 - SLS (hydraulic suspension) pump. $100 - SLS Valve. Will be delivered rebuilt with new O-Rings. $20 - SLS plastic bottle reservoir. $50 - European safety triangle $30 - Unused German first aid kit $60 - Cargo cover hardware $100 - Black vinyl headrests $100 - European Becker Kurier radio $75 - Excellent wood dash trim (with vent in center piece) $75 - Excellent wood dash trim (without vent on center piece) I need to think about the window regulators... and find a substitute so my windows do not fall down.
