Hey Gilly......Outside Temperature...

Hey Gilly...This is a funny one..l had some paint work done to the "M"..l got the vehicle back today, and the reading on the outside temperature gauge in the instrument cluster reads - 38 Celsuis.....and it has all day...any idea's...everything else on the cluster works fine......

Damn! Cold where you live, I'd move south.........at -38 even I have to throw on a sweater.
The temp sensor is mounted behind the grille. Id imagine they did something to the sensor or wire, so I'd start looking for damage in the harness, or if everything looks OK you could try throwing an outside temp sensor at it.

Or maybe the display mode got changed Celsius and it was a very hot day??

9 * 38C / 5 + 32 = 100.4 F

I don't think this mode is easily changed, unless POSSIBLY if the truck has the trip computer and you change that to metric?

Hey Gilly..........They unplugged the temperature sensor, as not to cause any damage to the sensor while the "M" was in the heat booth..so all is well now......
