Stereo/speaker buzzing

Need some help here with the buzzing noise. Background:
98 ML with 60k, started last week, the stereo will begin buzzing whenever the truck go over bumps. The buzzing can be cleared if I turned off the radio momentarily and turned it back on. This phenomenon happens again when I hit another bump. Interestingly, while the stereo is buzzing, if I shut down the engine (with the radio on, and turn key to position 1), the buzzing disappears. This suggests there may be a loose ground perhaps related to the alternator. I am not too sure but would appreciate some pointers as to what to look for. Thanks.

radio bump-whine

I've got this problem on my '99 ML 320. I'd appreciate any suggestions. It can be eliminated by turning the truck off, actuating the radio and then driving away. Something in the radio power circuit? I'm wondering if it is a failing unrelated component in the ignition circuit. I checked some grounds. It's frustrating.

I recall that it had something to do with the wire loom from behind the radio. I unplugged the harness from the radio and replugged it and the noise went away. I think there was also a bulletin to do something with the wiring harness by MB. Anyhow, it was a bad/loose connection that can be fixed by some wiggling and jiggling.
