Will Fram Sure Drain SD2 fit the drain plug of my ML320

Not sure which part number iit is, I just spoke with a FRAM parts dealer here and he couldn't look it up by make/model. He suggested I bring in the plug, but you caould also call MB and find out, unless someone here is sure.
Catch 22 I guess, you still have to get the plug out the first time, and risk the mess, but there are several ideas un the forum to avaoid that - good luck.

Fram Sure Drain
I looked into this product too. I believe that the MB plug is 14mm. Check the details on the model SD-2.
After looking at the product, I thought that the design would leave too much oil in the pan (due to the side plug combined with the smaller center pressure activated sure drain). Of course, once you get most of the oil out, you could remove the sure-drain too, to let the rest drain. |
